About Q Florist

Gus Bazas first opened doors to Q Florist in 1968, and the Upper West Side floral institution has been bringing beauty and kindness to its customers ever since. Three  generations of the Bazas family have run this operation with extreme care and passion, always offering a smile and a friendly face to the regulars that stop in the shop, and a helpful hand to those looking to plan a milestone event with Q Florist.

Flowers

A True "American Dream" Story

Gus Bazas, originally from Nafpaktos, Greece, got his start in the floral industry by selling flowers from a cart in Central Park West in 1966. He handpicked his flowers from a market in Chelsea and stored them in a location, now home to Q Florist for the past 50+ years.

Family Legacy

Today, Q Florist is run by Gus's children, Nick and Stacy alongside Nick's son, Constantine. Together, the siblings uphold the tradition of Q Florist. Blooms are delivered fresh 6 days a week, and children are always given a carnation in their favorite color.

She’s 1,000 lbs and hard to miss, but this giant bear outside Q Florist is certainly a friendly one. Perhaps acting like our very own mascot, you don’t want to miss the bear’s latest outfit and surrounding decor. The designers here at Q Florist have endless creativity, so you can expect to see the #ColumbusAvenueBear donning something  stellar any time you pass by.
